Export movie

The Movie export function exports a movie of the image sequence displayed in Main View (2D) to a movie file (AVI, MP4, MOV, or WMV). You have the option to capture the entirety of the displayed image or the region that is currently visible in the Image Viewer. Displayed objects/overlays are included in the movie.

For exporting a flythrough movie of a 3D volume, use the Video Animator tool.

 

Export a movie with the X/Y resolution of the image sequence

To export a movie that captures the entirety of the displayed image with the resolution of the dataset, do the following steps:

  1. Click on File > Export > Movie or run the Export Movie command from the search bar while the image is shown in Main View (2D).

  2. In the popup window, click No in order to save the unscaled, whole FOV.

  3. Choose a location and filename for the movie in the Save Movie dialog.

  4. Click Save.

Export a movie at the current magnification

To export a movie at the magnification currently shown in the Image Viewer, do the following steps:

  1. Click on File > Export > Movie or run the Export Movie command from the search bar while the image is shown in Main View (2D).

  2. In the popup window, click Yes to capture as snapshots.

  3. If you would like to capture the full image, click Yes in the second popup window. If you would like to capture just what is currently shown in the Image Viewer, click No.

  4. Choose a location and filename for the movie in the Save Movie dialog.

  5. Click Save.
