Health and safety warning for VR

Make sure you read and fully understand the health and safety warnings on this page prior to using Aivia VR to reduce the risk of personal injury, discomfort and property damage.

Health warning

DO NOT use Aivia VR if you have a previous medical history of seizure or epilepsy.

  • Seizures: Light flashes or patterns in VR may trigger severe dizziness, seizures or blackouts in some people. Do not use Aivia VR if you have epilepsy or have a previous history of dizziness, seizures or other symptoms linked to an epileptic condition.
  • Pre-existing conditions: Consult your doctor prior to using Aivia VR if you are pregnant, elderly or have epilepsy; abnormal binocular vision; or suffer from seizure; heart condition; or other serious medical conditions.
  • Stop if you experience adverse health symptoms: Stop using Aivia VR immediately if you experience dizziness, seizure, loss of awareness, impaired vision, nausea, lightheadedness, pain in the head or eyes, fatigue, or other symptoms linked to motion sickness.

Safety warning

  • Avoid prolonged usage: Extended usage of VR may increase the risk of adverse conditions associated with hand-eye coordination and visual orientation. Limit the usage time of Aivia VR and take frequent breaks in between VR sessions.
  • Use in a safe environment: Prior to using VR, make sure the activity area is cleared of any obstacles from the ground to the ceiling. While using VR, stay within the guided boundary and be aware of your surroundings at all times. Take special care to ensure that you are not near other people or objects that you can bump into and cause personal injury or property damage. Do not use Aivia VR while conducting other tasks that require attention, such as driving.
